Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Director or Laboratory Services, the Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

What you will do in this role:

• Assists in data collection for statistical surveys or other reports generated by the Department.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the Department.
• Facilitates communication between the Laboratory and members of the Medical Staff and other Hospital Departments to enhance patientcare services.
• Notifies supervisor of any unusual requests to ensure maximum utilization of resources and maintenance of quality care.
• Performs computer functions as necessary according to job duties.
• Teaches new employees and students in the theory and procedures of laboratory sciences

• Bachelor's Degree and completion of approved training program for Medical Technologist with MT (ASCP) certification or registry eligible.
• Must pass Boards to become certified within 1 year of hire.
• Previous experience in hospital clinical laboratory preferred.
